Eligibility criteria
Admission to the University of Liverpool India campus is based on a fair and holistic evaluation of every applicant. While the eligibility criteria represent the minimum academic requirements to apply, final admission decisions will be made based on combination of factors such as the applicant’s academic performance, statement of purpose (SOP) / personal statement, virtual interview performance, and any extraordinary achievements.
No separate admission test is required. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission but qualifies a student for consideration through a fair and comprehensive review process.
The following outlines the minimum academic requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the University of Liverpool, Bengaluru.
Undergraduate
In some cases, and depending on the overall university requirement, applicants may be asked to provide a recognised English language test such as IELTS, TOEFL or PTE in addition to school-level qualifications.

- Applicants must have completed
- Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State Boards) with a minimum overall average of 75% across four core subjects
- Alternatively, A Levels (minimum ABB) or an IB Diploma (minimum 32 points) are accepted
- Certain programmes may require specific subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, or Computer Science.
- Predicted grades (provisional criteria)
Students who have not yet received their final Class XII results may still apply. In such cases, Class XI or Pre-Board scores can be considered for a conditional offer.

- Statement of purpose (SOP) / Personal statement
All applicants are required to submit a Statement of Purpose / Personal Statement as part of their application.
Postgraduate
In some cases, and depending on the overall university requirement, applicants may be asked to provide a recognised English language test such as IELTS or TOEFL in addition to school-level qualifications.
- Applicants must hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree with at least 55% overall (or equivalent)
- Some programmes may require a relevant academic background or prior work experience in fields such as Finance, Management, Science, or Engineering. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) may also be considered
- All applicants are required to submit a Statement of Purpose / Personal Statement as part of their application.

Who is considered an international student?
You are considered an international student for admission purposes if you are a Foreign National, a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). Indian nationals who do not fall under these categories should apply through the Domestic Admissions channel.

- Application fee: Pay a non-refundable fee of INR 5,000 (reduced to 2,000 for early applicants) at the time of application submission.

Annual tuition fees
Tuition fees cover the cost of your teaching and assessment, operating facilities such as libraries, IT equipment, and access to academic and personal support. Please refer to the individual programme pages for details on tuition fees. The tuition fee is subject to a nominal periodic increase.

What kinds of scholarships and bursaries can I apply for?
We offer a range of scholarships and bursaries to support talented undergraduate students from every background. A variety of scholarships and bursaries will be available to eligible students. You’ll need to apply to be considered for some of these awards, while others are awarded automatically.

What happens if I decide to withdraw my admission?
Applicants are required to pay a deposit equivalent to 20% of the tuition fee at the time of offer acceptance to secure their place. The subsequent instalments – 30% between July and September 2026 and 50% between January and February 2027 – will be payable as per the University’s academic schedule.
Any student withdrawing their admission before the formally notified last date of admission will receive a full refund, after a nominal deduction of up to INR 5,000 or 5% of the total fee paid, whichever is lower. Refunds for later withdrawals will be processed as per the University’s refund schedule , and all eligible amounts will be credited to the student’s or parent’s registered bank account within 30 working days of a valid withdrawal request.
