Scholarships and bursaries
You could receive financial support of up to INR 5 lakh per year if you study an undergraduate or postgraduate programme with us. We offer a range of scholarships and bursaries to support talented students from every background.
Scholarships available for 2026-2027
Unless stated otherwise, the scholarships below are available for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
Academic scholarship
Scholarships are awarded to students with outstanding academic performance and a strong academic track record.
Need-based scholarship
You may be eligible for financial support based on economic need and household income. Eligible students will be required to submit supporting documents, including proof of annual household income, for assessment.
Sports scholarship
Scholarships are available for students who have demonstrated excellence in sports at district, state, national, or international levels in recognised sporting disciplines.
Extracurricular scholarship
Merit-based scholarships also recognise achievements beyond academics, including achievements in leadership, research, cultural activities, innovation, competitive events, and community engagement.
Work Experience scholarship (Postgraduate only)
Awards available for candidates with meaningful professional experience, leadership exposure, diverse industry backgrounds, and the ability to contribute to peer learning and classroom engagement.
Additional discretionary scholarships may be awarded on a case-by-case basis based on exceptional overall profile, institutional collaborations, diversity initiatives, special talents, promotions, and other strategic considerations.

You can submit an application to be considered for a scholarship by emailing study@bengaluru.liverpool.ac.uk.
Please include:
- A personal statement outlining how you meet the criteria for the award, highlighting your key achievements, leadership roles, recognitions, and any other relevant accomplishments
- Academic transcripts/awards as relevant
- Proof of household income (need-based application)
- Any additional evidence such as sporting awards, research papers, work experience testimonials.
Guidelines
- Scholarships are available only to students admitted to the University
- Scholarships are awarded based on eligibility, available documentation, and review by the admissions committee
- Students must submit complete and authentic documents within the prescribed timelines (which will be communicated by the admissions committee)
- Scholarships are generally applicable toward tuition fees
- Continuation of scholarships is subject to satisfactory academic performance, discipline, and adherence to university regulations
- The University reserves the right to review, revise, or discontinue scholarship policies based on institutional requirements and availability of funds.
