Programme content
This 12-month programme combines five core and four optional modules, concluding with a 60-credit dissertation project completed during the summer term. Each semester builds progressively, from establishing programming and analytical fundamentals to advanced specialisation in machine learning, data systems, and dependability.

Am I eligible for the MSc Computer Science if I don’t have a computer science degree?
Yes - this programme is for students from a computer science and a non-computer science background. It is designed for graduates from computer science, science and engineering disciplines, who want to transition into or advance within the tech industry.
Applicants need a bachelor's degree with at least 55% and students in their final year can apply with a conditional offer. Relevant professional or research experience may also be considered.
Do I need to take IELTS or another English language test?
All programmes at the University of Liverpool are delivered in English, so applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency. However, the specific English language requirements vary by programme and academic background.
For applicants from India, Class XII English (from recognised boards) may be accepted as evidence of proficiency, depending on the score obtained and the requirements of the chosen programme.
